Welcome to Uitval Lodge

Situated in glorious countryside with magnificent views to Ilenge and Helpmekaar mountains, stunning views of rock built bridges, hillsides covered in aloes and game outside your door.

The lodge currently has 15 individual units. Three are 2 bedroomed en suite cottages dubbed as “Kwakhalanyoni” (where the birds sing). Peace envelopes you as you admire the views, trees, game and listen to the birds and absorb the calm atmosphere.

We offer accommodation, conference and wedding facilities, battlefield and Zulu cultural tours. Our resident chef provides meals that are a delight, both to taste and visual senses. Developed by Mr Christian B Shabalala whose vision for the lodge is quality and comfort, with experiences that reflect the region. A place that will create memories.
